Google delivered a package to a baseball fan at Denver's Coors Field stadium to show off its Google Wing drone.
It was the first drone goods drop to a professional sports stadium, according to a USA Today report that noted Google has been busy piloting drones in Australia to deliver items and sushi dinners in a big city.
"Our intent here is not to deliver beer and peanuts to stadium-goers. Our drones will never match the experience of flagging down a vendor and having them toss peanuts to you from 20 seats away," Google spokesman Jonathan Bass said in a statement. "We're more focused on supplementing existing methods of ground-based delivery to move small packages more efficiently across miles, not feet."
The news comes as retailers are hopping on the drone delivery wagon though Amazon's Prime Air has just made about 100 deliveries in the U.S., according to CNBC.
Walmart said it's completed 6,000 U.S. deliveries with the help of three partners, according to the USA Today report.
Google claims it's conducted several hundred thousand commercial drone deliveries in the U.S., Europe and Australia.
