Grocer hiring to meet customer demand relating to COVID-19 pandemic

Grocery chain H-E-B is looking to hire on additional store help across Texas as consumer demand for food and household items is skyrocketing as COVID-19, the coronavirus pandemic, continues to cause panic and concern.

The hiring will be on short-term workers, according to a Kens 5report.The grocer said the action is part of its commitment to serving customers through every challenge, according to the report.

It's the latest initiative being made by retailers and grocers as the pandemic is forcing many cities and states to enact self-quarantine efforts to stem the virus, as Retail Customer Experience has reported.
