Grocery shopping more enjoyable now than in the 1950s, says shopper

August 17, 2008

Grocery shopping is more enjoyable now than back in the 1950s, according to Hyatt. "I also like the idea today of taking my own groceries out to the car," Hyatt said. "Back then, you had to wait on a boy to cart them out for you, after you stood in line to get checked out. I think they have improved in every way since the '50s."
