Home Depot acquires data tech start-up

Retailers continue to ride the technology wave with the recent news of Home Depot's acquisition of BlackLocus. The Austin-based startup builds data-driven pricing solutions for retailers.

The deal was announced yesterday, according to techcrunch.com, with no details disclosed regarding amount Home Depot shelled out for the company. The staff will remain in Austin as the founding base for the new "Home Depot Innovation Lab."
