Houston mattress retailer opens stores to Harvey hurricane victims

A Houston retailer that sells mattresses is opening its stores to displaced hurricane victims to provide a safe, dry place to sleep.

Gallery Furniture made the compassionate gesture in the wake of tremendous flooding taking place in Houston following the arrival of Hurricane Harvey, according to a New York Daily News report.

The two locations are also offering water and food, and can accommodate hundreds of people, as well as pets who have a kennel or carrier to sleep in.
