IDT launches low-cost people counter

HOP BOTTOM, Penn. — Inter-Dimensional Technologies has announced the release of its newest Electronic People Counter, the EPC-IRD1. The EPC-IRD1 was specifically designed to be a low-cost battery-powered infrared beam people counter.

There are two versions of the EPC-IRD1, standard and long range. The standard version can sense traffic on standard entrances of approximately three feet wide and is priced at $159. The long-range version can sense traffic on entrances as wide as 35 feet and is priced at $244.

The EPC-IRD1 is a microprocessor controlled device with many features, such as an entry buzzer that can be enabled or disabled, a sensor sensitivity delay and a security code to prevent tampering.
