Iper La grande i, a large scale Italian retailer, has selected Diebold Nixdorf, a commerce technology company, to upgrade the front and back-end of its hypermarkets and restaurants. The goal is to improve consumer experiences and in-store efficiency while migrating to new technological standards, according to a press release.
Diebold Nixdorf's Storevolution Advisory Services helped Iper La grande i rethink the ideal layout for stores, taking into consideration customer flow and touchpoints for improved experiences. The retailer will use the latest technology, including self-checkout and convertible checkout systems equipped with DN Vynamic software and payment solutions, for the upgrade of hypermarkets and restaurants.
"The strategic partnership with Diebold Nixdorf allows us to offer our customers an incredibly advanced, secure and convenient shopping experience, thanks to the user-friendly interface. We are proud to have adopted a truly open retail solution calibrated to our needs: a technological evolution ready to improve our entire store network," Deris Gil Martinez, Iper La grande i CIO, said in the release.
Diebold Nixdorf's solutions provide an open retail and modular approach, as the software architecture adapts to the hypermarket format. This strategy reduces IT complexity and total cost of ownership and is complemented by DN AllConnect Services to ensure easy maintenance and optimal availability.
"We are thrilled to be working with Iper La grande i to create new consumer journeys within their stores. Thanks to our Advisory Services, it was easy for us to identify together the right technologies to be included in the different stores to provide an optimal experience for the consumer," Ben Gale, regional vice president and managing director, EMEA Retail Sales Management, at Diebold Nixdorf said in the release.
Founded in 1974, Iper La grande is headquartered in Milan, Italy and has 22 stores in four regions. The company is part of the Finiper Group.
