Kohl's partnering with Planet Fitness

Kohl's is teaming up with Planet Fitness with the gym brand opening locations next to the retailer's stores.

The move is related to Kohl's "right sizing" strategy regarding store size and driving consumer traffic into stores, according to a USA Today report.

The move reflects a trend by Kohl's to cross brand, such as Kohl's move nearly two years ago to provide store space to Amazon to sell its products.

In February, Kohl's announced a partnership with Weight Watchers, providing space in a Chicago location for group meetings, and in which it will sell the weight loss brand's products.
