Lidl opening Long Island store this month

Supermarket Lidl plans to open a Long Island, New York location this month.

The store, according to a Patch report, will be in Garden City Park and open on June 15.

Lidl is a Europe-based supermarket chain that is expanding its footprint on Long Island. The location will mark the brand's 23rd store on Long Island.

It's one of 24 stores the grocery chain announced it will be opening this year on Long Island.
