L.L. Bean opening first store on Long Island

While headlines are declaring retailers are shuttering doors, there's at least one bright spot in retail on Long Island, New York.

L.L. Bean will open its first-ever Long Island location on June 23 at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, according to a Newsday report.

The outdoor retailer's location is a 16,000-square foot space that will employ about 70 employees.
