Macy's selling top half of Chicago flagship space

Macy's has put the top half of its Chicago flagship store space up for sale, according to a Chicago Tribunereport.
The move involves the eighth through 14th floors of the State Street Macy's location, which is about 700,000 square feet.
"Macy's is continuing to execute on our real estate strategy that is focused on creating value through monetization and, in some cases, redevelopment of our assets," Macy's spokeswoman Andrea Schwartz told the Tribune. "We are still working on a plan for a downsized Macy's State Street store, which we expect will result in a more vibrant and productive store."
