Macy’s taps Olivier Bron as Bloomingdale’s CEO

Macy's, which owns luxury brand Bloomingdale's, has named Olivier Bron as the brand's CEO.

Bron will take on the job in November, according to a New York Times report, and will succeed Tony Spring.

He has served as COO of French retail group Galeries Lafayette and was most recently CEO of Central Group department stores in Thailand.

"His extensive international retail career and deep knowledge of the luxury market will be invaluable as we pursue additional opportunities," Spring said in a statement.
