Macy's teams with Perch on interactive platform for fragrance sales

Macy's introduced a partnership with Perch, a provider of an interactive platform for interactive retail marketing, for select Macy's locations, according to a press release.

The platform will offer a digitally driven alternative fragrance shopping experience that allows consumers to discover new scents. The digital interface shares information on each fragrance automatically the moment a customer touches a fragrance and suggests scents that match their preferences. 

Perch's 3D sensing technology detects when shoppers touch or pick a product from one of the shelves, activating an interactive experience about the product.

The system's campaign management and analytics software enable brands to deliver and update mixed-reality shopping experiences while simultaneously capturing shopper interactions to allow for data-driven decisions on changing the content.
