A man from Central, a suburb of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been arrested for allegedly using a price-tag swapping scheme to steal more than $2,300 worth of sports cards at a Walmart store, according to a WBRZ report.

Ryan Meador is accused of "palming" inexpensive price tags, such as those for pasta, while appearing to ring up the more valuable cards at a self-checkout, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.

Meador is facing four misdemeanor theft charges that collectively amount to a felony charge. Sheriff Jason Ard said the investigation is ongoing and that the suspect may be facing additional charges in other jurisdictions, according to the news outlet.
