November 11, 2009

MarketLive Inc., an e-commerce solutions provider for mid-sized retailers, today unveiled MarketLive Mobile, a mobile commerce application for the MarketLive Intelligent Commerce Platform. MarketLive Mobile enables retailers to extend rich online shopping experiences to the most ubiquitous consumer touchpoint, the smartphone. Through MarketLive Mobile, retailers are able to effectively engage the highly profitable mobile customer segment through on-the-go customer service, a feature-rich mobile storefront, and enhanced marketing initiatives that drive multichannel sales.

MarketLive showcased the Armani Exchange mobile storefront, a full-featured mobile shopping environment built on the application, which can be viewed from smartphones.

"The addition of a mobile storefront is only part of an effective mobile strategy for mid-sized retailers," said Mark Pierce, CEO of MarketLive. "Retailers must consider their audience, mobile customer service, cross-channel goals, and merchandising and promotion strategies as well."

MarketLive Mobile is a feature-rich mobile application designed to optimize the core e-commerce functionality of the MarketLive Intelligent Commerce Platform for mobile devices. With MarketLive Mobile, retailers can:

  • Extend branding and marketing efforts to mobile environments for increased customer convenience and loyalty. Using MarketLive's intelligent and marketing capabilities, retailers can send targeted messages to mobile users that drives repeat traffic to the site where users experience a relevant shopping environment. The application allows retailers to extend existing online merchandising strategies and promotions to mobile environments as well as create mobile-specific products groups, categories and campaigns.
  • Influence and support multichannel retailing with a store locator that includes geo-location functionality for directions, access to in-store mobile coupons, easy-to-use product and pricing look-up, and rich video content.
  • Increase sales on the mobile device through merchandising features and checkout processes designed specifically for smartphones. Users can quickly navigate categories, browse merchandise, view color swatches, and purchase merchandise on the mobile storefront.
  • Deliver on-the-go customer service to build loyalty and customer satisfaction with features such as real-time order status and click-to-call customer service.
