Linguastat has unveiled its patented e-commerce dynamic description services suite, Marquee. According to the company, Marquee automatically and consistently sharpens the relevance of product descriptions across web, mobile and tablet platforms.
“A product’s description is the last chance a company has to engage the consumer before a buying decision is made, but too often this description is poorly written and isn’t targeted, relevant, or truly benefits-oriented,” said Linguastat CEO and co-founder John Pierre. “Our patented algorithms, originally developed for military intelligence and now converted for the B2C e-commerce market, not only automatically optimize key components of the digital sales process; they also continuously and dynamically refine their effectiveness for the retailer.”
According to the company, Marquee manages the entire product data and dynamic description lifecycle. Using a benchmarking process, the solution first rates the effectiveness of a retailer’s existing e-commerce product data feed and digital content. Marquee then automatically normalizes data feeds for digital marketing programs; creates optimized product descriptions; and provides ongoing automatic monitoring, dynamically updating and refreshing these descriptors with new data as it becomes available.
The company said Marquee can create thousands of product descriptions in minutes, and meets the optimization requirements of Google Product Listing Ads. Marquee dynamically updates content based on analysis of key e-commerce metrics, including search queries, site traffic, and conversion rates. It also automatically personalizes the content for a range of audiences, creating unique non-duplicated product variants, even for the same product. These variants can be targeted to a variety of customer profiles as well as to behavioral groups — such as shoppers who tend to browse using their mobile devices but complete their purchases through other channels.
