As retailers adopt subscription programs to offer deals, a survey reveals two-thirds of U.S. shoppers can't afford all their subscriptions.

That's a prime finding from Bango research focused on American shoppers' habits and attitudes regarding subscription services. The data revealed that a shopper averages five subscriptions.

The survey polled 3,000 consumers who have a retail subscription.

The news comes on the heels of Target reintroducting its membership program called Target Circle 360.

"The way we shop is changing — again. The rise of subscription boxes and same-day delivery has transformed retail in recent years," Anil Malhotra, Bango CMO, said in the press release.
