New retail solution supports Google's shopping experience

Mercent has released new and expanded software to help retailers drive sales and profits on the new Google Shopping program powered by Google Product Listing Ads, according to a company press release.

The Mercent Retail SaaS platform delivers complete, accurate and timely product data feeds that contain competitive pricing and compelling product merchandising offers, allowing retailers to reach millions of online shoppers searching and purchasing through Google, Mercent CEO Eric Best said in the release.

"This is a milestone announcement for Google and further solidifies Google's role as a dominant player in retail eCommerce," he said. "Through Mercent Retail for Google Shopping, online retailers will now have superior tools to successfully reach and sell to more online shoppers."

Several major retailers including Redcats, 1-800-Flowers, HSN, GUESS?, Office Depot, Home Depot, Bloomingdale's, Microsoft and Liberty brands leverage Mercent.
