Nordstrom may split off its Rack

Seattle-based Nordstrom is reportedly considering dividing the company into two businesses.

The news comes on the heels of Neiman Marcus' reportedly looking at a similar strategy.

Nordstrom has tapped consulting firm AlixPartners to evaluate breaking off its discount channel, Nordstrom Rack, according to a New York Post report.
