According to the Orlando Sentinel, Publix Super Markets is closing down its in-store Little Clinics.
The Little Clinic, a Tennessee-based medical company, has leased space within 40 of the stores in Florida and Georgia. A closing date has not been set, but many of the clinics have already closed.
Dwaine Stevens, media and communications manager for Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix, wrote in an email that closing the Little Clinics "allows Publix the opportunity to better focus on our core grocery and pharmacy business."
Patients visited the clinics for routine procedures, such as flu shot and physicals.
