Report: Abercrombie & Fitch on the sale block

The latest retailer heading for acquisition may well be apparel veteran Abercrombie & Fitch.

A CNBC report reveals the retailer is in early discussions with a few potential buyers.

"There can be no assurance these discussions will lead to a definitive agreement or that a transaction will be consummated," the company said in a statement, according to CNBC.

The retailer, according to the report, is not going to renew leases for about 60 stores this year.
