Retail analytics firm RetailNext Inc. has announced an expansion of its platform with a new strategic alliance with StepsAway, an in-mall mobile retail solution provider that offers shoppers smartphone access to hyperlocal in-store deals.
According to the companies, real-time data from RetailNext's retail analytics platform and StepsAway's mobile retail solution will allow retailers to target and deliver timely, relevant promotions and then measure the redemption and conversion related to both mall and store traffic. The planned RetailNext and StepsAway solution will not only deliver retail clients recommended promotions based on changing environmental factors or in-mall/in-store shopping behavior, but then return shopper interaction data back into the platform, allowing future promotional messages to be further refined.
"RetailNext's in-store analytics platform continues to innovate and break new ground," said Arun Nair, chief technology officer and co-founder of RetailNext. "As such, it has grown to be an industry-standard platform, and RetailNext is perfectly positioned to enable and integrate third-party, value-added solutions to expand upon a centralized platform in order to better serve our customers and their shoppers."
More than 160 retailers and brands worldwide have adopted RetailNext solutions to glean the insights necessary to improve customer experience, increase same-store sales, reduce theft and eliminate unnecessary costs.
