Sam's Club announced that it will host 10 free monthly health screenings in 2015 for members and non-members, covering a wide range of tests to manage and discover potential health issues.

According to the company, the health screenings are free, confidential and available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy (598 locations). The first screening will take place on Saturday, Jan. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while supplies last, with a key health indicator review, valued at $250, which includes the following tests:

  • Blood pressure
  • Total cholesterol
  • HDL (good cholesterol)
  • Risk ratio
  • Glucose
  • Body mass index (BMI)
  • Vision (not available at all locations)

“Offering free screenings for the fifth consecutive year is part of our commitment to improve the lives and well-being of people in the communities we serve,” said Jill Turner-Mitchael, senior vice president, Sam’s Club Health and Wellness. “It’s eye-opening to hear stories about the immediate impact of these screenings on people and how empowering it is for them to learn more about staying healthy. We’re determined to continue finding ways to make health care accessible.”

In addition to the January screenings, Sam’s Club Pharmacies will host nine additional free health screenings throughout the year on the second Saturday of each month, including:

  • May: Staying fit
  • June: Men’s health
  • July: Rejuvenate your health
  • August: Latest trends in tech health
