Sears adds 103 stores to closure list

In addition to 63 planned store closures, Sears expects to shutter another 103 by April of this year.

The closing store list includes 64 Kmart locations and 39 Sears locations, according to a Business Insider report.

That will leave Sears with less than 940 operating locations. There were 3,510 six years ago, according to BI.

"Sears Holdings continues its strategic assessment of the productivity of our Kmart and Sears store base and will continue to right size our store footprint in number and size," the company said in a statement, according to BI. "In the process, as previously announced, we will continue to close some unprofitable stores as we transform our business model so that our physical store footprint and our digital capabilities match the needs and preferences of our members."
