When it comes to product delivery, speed and reliability are the top priorities for American consumers and 65% are willing to pay more for more speed and reliability, according to a consumer insight survey from Omnitracs LLC, a Solera company.
During the pandemic year of 2020-2021, 59% of consumers used one- to two-day delivery options at least once a month and expect to continue using them in the post-pandemic shopping environment, according to a press release on the survey findings.
"The global health crisis ushered in a new way of living, and consumers have become accustomed to the conveniences that stay-at-home orders have brought to the table. It's clear that the pandemic-driven shift to deliveries as a primary method of buying goods isn't going anywhere as restrictions lift," Dr. Ashim Bose, chief data and AI officer at Omnitracs, said in the release. "In the coming months and years, fleet services will only continue to grow in importance as the demand for faster, more reliable deliveries increases."
The survey, which was conducted by Dynata, a market research tool, polled 1,000 adults. Omnitracs is a provider of a fleet intelligence software platform.
