Social commerce tool PowerReviews adds Facebook features

PowerReviews, a provider of social commerce solutions including customer reviews, has added several new Facebook-related features to its award-winning social commerce suite. The enhancements, which build on the Facebook Connect and Like Button capabilities, enable retailers and brands to combine the proven selling power of customer reviews with the reach of Facebook and the credibility of friend-to-friend recommendations.

Working with PowerReviews, retailers and brands now have the ability to integrate their customer reviewers’ Facebook information into reviews and reviewer profiles on product pages.

Consumers also have expanded opportunities to post their reviews to Facebook. These reviews will appear on each consumer’s Facebook Wall as well as in their Friends’ newsfeeds. Appraisals posted on Facebook now include a product picture, the number of stars the product received, a snippet of text from the review and a link back to the merchant’s product page.

Other Facebook-related features now give retailers and brands the ability to:

  • Group together, and show the history of, reviews written by a single Facebook user
  • Offer "Comment on Facebook" links after each review on the product page
  • Post all review comments to a user’s Facebook newsfeed
