Springboard Retail launches web-based retail system

Springboard Retail has announced the public launch of its web-based POS and retail management system,which it says is designed to help retailers sell more, and more profitably.

"Our software leverages the web to provide real-time data to the retail enterprise and equip them with the tools to turn that information into incremental sales," said Gordon Russell, founder and CEO of Springboard Retail. "In order for retailers to sell more in their stores, they must develop and nurture the relationship with their customers across all channels, and our software was designed and built to help achieve this."

Russell is no new face to retail. Owner of eight Boston-based Lilly Pulitzer Signature Stores, Russell and his co-founder and CTO Jay Stotz say they have designed and developed Springboard’s SaaS software applications to be the core of the successful customer-centric omni-channel retail enterprise of the future. Russell, Stotz and their retailing and software development team collectively have more than 50 years of experience in retail and software development.

Russell’s chain of stores went live on Springboard Retail in August 2011 with great success. On Springboard’s alpha version, year over year same store sales increased 15.3 percent. The next 12 months on Springboard’s beta version saw an additional 19.6 percent increase in year over year same store sales. Springboard Retail now has 18 stores live on the platform and is growing.

Springboard Retail applications include Point of Sale, Customer Relationship Management, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Receiving, Distributed Order Management and Fulfillment. Also included are real-time dashboards, a robust promotions engine and Springboard Retail’s proprietary analytics tool called SR Reports. Springboard Retail is integrated with Intuit QuickBooks Online for accounting and is launching an integration with Shopify for e-commerce in Q1 2014.
