Just days after Nordstrom announced that it was partnering with Curalate to allow its customers to shop via the social network Instagram, Target announced that it too is adding the social shopping service.

Just days after Nordstrom announced that it was partnering with Curalate to allow its customers to shop via the social network Instagram, Target announced that it too is adding the social shopping service.

The retailer announced the service on its blog, A Bullseye View:

You know those moments when that must-have pair of shoes or one-of-a-kind bag appears in your Instagram feed? How about the bummed out feeling after, because you can’t quickly buy what you see? We’re all familiar with the longing that comes from countless hours scouring the Internet tracking down the object of our desire. Well to that we say, no more!

Philadelphia-based Curalate is a marketing and analytics firm that says it helps "brands tell their story through imagery in order to drive consumer engagement, build brand awareness, and form stronger, more meaningful relationships with consumers."
