Target Corp. today is opening eight new Target Clinics in the Chicago and the Palm Beach, Fla., areas.
Target, which is based in Minneapolis, is opening five clinics in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Target Clinic is opening three facilities in the Palm Beach area.
The new locations will offer Target guests access to quality, convenient and affordable health care services with no appointment necessary, according to the company. All Target Clinic locations offer on-the-spot treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, skin treatments, vaccinations, and select tests and screenings. The new locations are open everyday, with both daytime and evening hours.
Nurse practitioners and physician assistants at Target Clinics can test and treat patients ages 18 months and older for many common illnesses and injuries. They can administer flu, Meningitis, and Hepatitis A and B vaccines. Vaccine prices start at $24; college students receive a 15 percent discount when they present their school ID.
The first Target Clinic opened in Minnesota in 2006. There are 21 Target Clinic locations in Minnesota and seven in Maryland. The opening of the Chicago and the Palm Beach locations brings to 36 the total number of Target Clinics.
