Traditional retailers gain online ground

Chicago Tribune: Retailers that operate both brick-and-mortar stores and Web sites accounted for 50 percent of e-commerce sales in the second quarter of 2008, up from 45 percent in the same period last year. It marks the first time traditional retailers and online merchants have evenly split e-commerce retail market share.
