The latest grocery delivery service in New York City has a familiar name: Uber.
The ridesharing giant plans to roll out the service across Manhattan and expand within the next few months, according to a New York Post report.
The grocery service will be available via both the Uber and Uber Eats apps and users will see an option in the apps providing local participating stores. Uber said it already has more than four dozen specialty and supermarket stores signed up, according to Harry Hartfield, an Uber spokesperson.
"We're a one-stop shop for everything transportation in New York City — whether you want to go out and explore the Big Apple in a car or just have the apple delivered to your door," Hartfield told the Post.
