Ulta Beauty aims to double the number of Black-owned cosmetic and beauty brands on its shelves by the end of this year and is putting $25 million into the effort.
It also named beauty brand and actress Tracee Ellis Ross as its diversity and inclusion advisor, according to a CNBC report.
The retailer also aims to launch media and marketing efforts focusing on Black-owned brands and entrepreneurs in the industry as well as employee training to battle any potential bias.
