Ulta Beauty has a new CEO, Kecia Steelman, who has taken the reins from Dave Kimbell who retired.
Steelman had been the brand's COO before the promotion, according to a CNBC report.
The company has also revised its fourth-quarter expectation, stating in a press release it now expects a modest growth of comparable sales due to a "stronger-than-expected performance during the holiday season." It had previously reported comparable sales would range between a decline of 1% and flat.
Kimbell, who became CEO in 2021, will serve as an advisor through June 28.
In Oct. 2024 the brand announced it will launch 200 stores within the next three years, expanding its current footprint of 1,411 locations.
