Under Armour taps former Marriott leader as CEO

Under Armour has hired Stephanie Linnartz as its chief executive.

Linnartz previously served as president of Marriott International, according to a New York Times report.

She takes on the role seven months after Patrik Frisk left the sportswear retailer. Founder Kevin Plank held the role up until 2019.

"Under Armour is an iconic brand with a huge opportunity ahead," Linnartz said in a statement. "This company has immense energy and excitement."
