The United Parcel Service has gotten full federal government approval to run a package delivery drone fleet.
The service has received Federal Aviation Administration certification, according to a New York Post report. The approval gives UPS the ability to expand delivery to hospital and college campuses and also fly drones out of the line of sight, according to the report.
The news comes after Google's Alphabet Wing received its single-pilot drone certification and which is now conducting pilot home delivery in Virginia.
