US B2C e-commerce poised for robust growth

The U.S. B2C e-commerce market will grow by $233.66 billion by 2027 with an annual growth rate of 8.12%.

That's a prime finding of a Technavio study regarding the emergence of omnichannel retailing as "one of the prime trends" in the market in the next few years.

"The rise in online spending and smartphone penetration has been instrumental in driving the growth of the market. However, the criticality of logistics management leading to high overhead costs might hamper the market growth," stated a press release on the market forecast.
