Vending machine offers uplifting messages

A glassfront vending machine in the Dubai Design District dispenses compliments in Arabic and English as part of a mental health improvement effort, according to an al-monitor.com report.
The machine is part of the Wild Arab West Instagram campaign launched last year that has drawn 50,000 followers.
Iman Almidfa, co-founder of the WAW, said the goal is to lift spirits following COVID.
The machine dispenses colored boxes with sayings like "Has anyone told you how great you are?"
People have been lining up for these messages at the machine and comparing them with friends.
The WAW team has printed 3,500 messages so far.
