Visa releases holiday online spend data, infographic

Visa has today released its e-commerce sales data from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. According to the company, e-commerce sales from all U.S. devices (including smartphones, tablets and PCs) rose to $7.8 billion, a 30 percent increase over the same 5-day period last year.
Other data the company released:
- Cyber Monday was once again king of the hill with $2.6B in spending on U.S. Visa cards, up 28 percent over 2012;
- e-commerce sales on Thanksgiving were just shy of $1B, a 30 percent jump over last year; and
- e-commerce spend on Visa cards alone exceeded $1B on 4 of 5 shopping days (and has already exceeded $1B on more than 200 days in 2013).
