Vodafone Hungary launches sicap kiosks

January 10, 2012

Sicap mobile money kiosks are now available in Vodafone Hungary's Smart Stores in Budapest as part of a pilot study to test customer service solutions. Vodafone pre-paid subscribers can top up their credit in seconds on touchscreen kiosk, and post-paid subscribers will shortly be able to pay their monthly bill with it.

Sicap will also embed an NFC (near field communication) feature to the kiosk to allow quick authentication of subscribers with NFC devices.

"The potential for evolution of the kiosk offer is very strong," Aleeda Fazal, solution manager at sicap, said in a company press release. "The sicap portfolio contains overlapping solutions which can help Vodafone Hungary foster loyalty, stimulate ARPU and cross-selling, and generally make life simple for subscribers."

Vodafone, one of the world's largest mobile communications companies by revenue with about 382 million customers, has equity interests in more than 30 countries.
