Walmart is running a three-week "exclusive" sales event in a quest to drive sign-ups to its Walmart+ subscription service.
As of the end of January the retailer had approximately 11.5 million members, according to market research company Consumer Intelligence Research Partners.
The move, according to a CNBC report, is to best competitor Amazon and turn Walmart's shoppers into more frequent customers. Walmart debuted its subscription service, which costs $98, in the fall of 2020
