Walmart intends to save big on its purchase of shopping bags as well as on staff clothing.
The retailer, whose fourth-quarter earnings and revenue didn't hit expectations, said it will save $60 million a year in changing how it buys shopping bags and 15% on vests purchased for store employees, according to a Market Watch report.
The retailer cited several factors playing into why revenue and earnings fell short, including a shorter-than-usual holiday season and no hot toy for sale during the 2019 holiday season.
