It was a short and quick courtship that set investors and shareholders into big spin cycles, but the love match between Walgreens and Rite Aid is finished.
Walgreens has terminated its merger agreement with Rite Aid, but will still buy 2,186 stores and assets, according to a Market Watch report.
The revamped deal is reported to be valued at $5.175 billion in cash.
