Not to be outdone by Amazon's continued foray into drones for warehouse and ground delivery, Walmart is reportedly considering the use of blimps for aerial product transport.
The news, reported by the New York Post, reveals Walmart has filed a patent for a "gas-filled aerial transport," which the Post describes as a blimp serving as a flying warehouse full of inventory.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office application stated the blimp would dispatch drones from a built-in launching bay after being loaded with packages.
