Walmart, Gatik team on self-driving delivery approach

Walmart is partnering with Gatik, an autonomous vehicle startup, in a quest to use self-driving box trucks as an online order delivery approach.

The news comes at a time when consumers are expecting many ways to pick up and have orders delivered, and retailers are striving to meet that expectation in cost-effective strategies.

For the past several months the partners have been testing driverless trucks on a daily route between the retailer's store in Bentonville, Arkansas and a fulfilment center, according to a Fox Business report.
