Walmart revamps executive leadership a bit

Walmart Chief Merchant Steve Bratspies is leaving the retailer and will be replaced by Scott McCall.

The leadership shuffle, effective Feb. 1, comes as Bratspies, who spent 14 years at Walmart, is moving forward to new challenges, according to a memo cited in a CNBC report.

The change in leadership comes just a month after the Chief Merchant for Walmart's U.S. e-commerce business, Ashley Buchanan, left to take the CEO job at retailer Michael's.
