Walmart testing self-driving vehicles for delivery strategy

Walmart is testing self-driving cars in a collaboration that involves Ford Motor and AI provider Argo AI for expanding its product delivery strategy.
The testing is taking place in several cities, according to a CNBC report.
The vehicles are Ford Escape hybrids using Argo's platform for delivery technology. Testing is taking place in Texas, Miami and the Distrist of Columbia.
"We're excited to expand our autonomous delivery efforts in three new markets alongside Argo and Ford," Tom Ward, Walmart U.S. senior vice president of last mile delivery, said in a statement. "This collaboration will further our mission to get products to the homes of our customers with unparalleled speed and ease, and in turn, will continue to pave the way for autonomous delivery."
