Want to own a Sears store? Just make a bid

In its quest to stem losses and regain profitability, Sears is putting 16 store locations on the auction block.

Bidding on the locations is now open, according to a CNBC report, with a deadline of May 1 for bid submission.

The auction is being overseen by commercial real estate services company Cushman and Wakefield, which is using the Real Insight Marketplace, an online bidding site, to run the auction.
