Wavelink voice-enables Oracle retail apps

October 11, 2009

Wavelink Corp., a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, today announced its Wavelink Speakeasy platform can be used to voice-enable Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management.

Administrators can easily add voice to their emulation applications without revising the host application or purchasing additional hardware and software. Speakeasy provides high-quality speech-to-text and text-to-speech functionality and supports multiple languages out of the box.

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management streamlines in-store activities, improves merchandise management and productivity, reduces labor costs, supports remote store processes and manages store-level profit and loss. Using portable or handheld wireless devices, store managers and personnel can quickly and easily perform an array of in-store operations, including receiving merchandise, managing physical inventories, conducting stock counts, ordering merchandise and transferring stock.
