Wegmans opening 1st Manhattan store

Nearly two years after announcing it planned to open a store in downtown Manhattan, Wegmans, a supermarket, will open the doors to the location at 770 Broadway on Oct. 18.

The store is 87,500 square feet, according to a New York Post report.

"We know our customers can't wait to come see what we have in store and our employees have been training, in some cases for over a year to get ready for this day," Matt Dailer, store manager, stated in a press release.
