What does online shopping really cost employers? About $7

December 18, 2007

Forrester Research released a composite overview of the "typical" multi-channel shopper - someone who shops online, through catalogs and in retail stores. That average shopper makes $74,302 a year.

Companies worried about lost productivity due to online shopping can take heart. That average customer also spends 12 minutes per day shopping online - which works out to a productivity loss of just $7.12.
